Wiens is amazing. They are really only for red wine fans, though the couple of whites they make are good, and that is coming from a guy who only drinks reds. The wine Wiens makes is not only delicious, but they continually make new wines. The wine club has been a joy, because we love tasting here, and we love getting our new delicious wines. Every other month we get a box, that has 2 bottles of the same wine. At first I thought I wouldn’t like this, because now you have two bottles of something you may not like. The good thing is that every wine they make is good.
They also will pour tasters directly out of the barrel when a wine is close to bottling. This is a great way to taste the wine before its bottled, and prebuy some of it. We did this with their Cab because it was the best Cab we had ever tasted from Southern California. The wins are usually around $30 each, so its not cheap, but it is worth the price to us. Each time we receive wine, it is something that has not yet been put on the tasting menu or sold to others. We will then go tasting and see what it tastes like, waiting for the best time to open the bottle, based on the way it changes over the year.
Other perks are a good store inside, with reasonably priced items, and regular events. They have live music a lot, and their wine release parties are only be reservation because they fill up every time.
